The Cultural Corridor is a project of the Specialized Commission for Art and Culture of the Council of Rectors of Portuguese Universities (CRUP), made up of the Universities of Coimbra, Lisboa, Porto, Nova de Lisboa, Aveiro, Minho, Évora, Açores, Algarve, Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Beira Interior, Madeira, Aberta and Católica Portuguesa, and ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa and Instituto Universitário Militar.

These universities, in partnership with the National Arts Plan, have established agreements with the municipalities and cultural institutions in their geographical area, forming a collaborative network whose main objective is to facilitate access for higher education students to cultural facilities throughout the country.
